Commitments vs. Goals

You can create amazing results for yourself, your teams and your organizations if you think in terms of commitments instead of goals.

Instead of asking what goals you are going to set this year, ask what you're committed to creating. For example...

-I'm committed to revamping our remote onboarding process to be more personalized, effective and delightful for our new hires
-I'm committed to being a leader who models brave risk-taking so people know that it's okay to fail
-I'm committed to raising mental health awareness so that we normalize and prioritize these challenges for our employees

Setting your intentions from a place of commitment is far more powerful than setting goals. It comes from within.

When you commit to something, the honor of your word is on the line. Your integrity is on the line. It feels a little scary, and that's a good thing.

What are you committed to creating for yourself and/or your organizations this year?
